I really like the style and price of these, am actually wearing them right now and they really compliment my olive skin tone. I took a star off because it actually arrived damaged and I had to go buy super glue to put it back together. The quality of the stub and baking don’t seem like great material so I’m a bit worried of it turning green or hurting my ear. For now (3 wears in) I am loving themvery goodHammered brass hoop style review:I think I like the dangles much more than the hammered brass hoops by Hilrose. The hoops have a very strange shaped post for through the ear. It’s a but strange when you are putting them on and no matter how I seem to play with them As far as what part of the curve is through my lobe they look like they are hanging at a strange angle and slightly crooked. I don’t think I’d buy them had I just seen them in a store and felt how heavy these hoops were and not if I had seen how they look when on.I would not recommend the hammered hoops.Dangle drop brushed style review:These look great. Awesome big statement earring and looked good with my gold rimmed glasses.I probably won’t wear any necklace with these as they are sort of huge on their own so I’ll just let them be my one pop of flair when I wear them. They have sort of a brushed matte look to them while still having some good metallic shine in the sun.I wore these for 7 hours right out of the box and it was too much. My ears felt sensitive and I was relieved to remove them at the 7 hours. I couldn’t tell if it was the heavy weight of them or the metal of the posts (my ears can be sensitive to earring metals sometimes) but I thought all day was too much.I loved the way they looked, but next time I wear I will be sure to only put on in parking lot once I arrive someplace- not when running around house or when driving alone in car. I think they will still work for me if I only wear for shorter time periods. I love them too much to dismiss based on weight.Comes with a cloth drawstring bag and clipped onto a cardstock piece. The baggie is nice and reusable for storage.Overall I’d recommend the drop ones.I love big earrings. Chandelier, loop, droop, hoop, I love earrings with flair, the kind that are noticeable. These brass matte earrings are noticeable but I don't see myself wearing them. They are HEAVY. And, because they are large they flap around when I move/turn my head. Consequently I have big heavy earrings yanking at my lobes every time I move. The ends of the ear wires needs to be finished so there are no burrs that catch when you are threading them through your ear holes.Last, the stars are at the back of the earring so what I consider to be the coolest detail about them sit hidden in my hair. I tried to thread them on backwards so the stars are at the front but that was impossible. So, they are lovely to look at but I can't wear them. These are large, heavy earrings in an attractive metal. I am deducting stars because:1. The ear wires are straight cut. They did not round the wires. I make jewelry, and the wires should always be sanded smooth. This straight cut makes for sharp ends that are painful to insert into my ears. I'll have to finish them myself.2. The face of one of the earrings has a dent and scratches. It's not that big of a deal, but it does detract from its quality.Additionally, I personally wouldn't have put the stars in the back, but that's personal preference. I'm mostly disappointed that I have to finish these myself. These aren’t going to win any prizes for quality. Really, I would expect to see earrings of this quality in any store catering to teenagers at our local mall. However, they are a nice size and a lot of fun! They’re large but the muted brass finish gives them some style. They’re easy to wear and have little plastic stops on the ends of the somewhat shirt hooks to make sure you don’t lose them. I don’t mind the weight of them at all, but I am more likely to wear these for a fun evening out than all day at work. These Hilrose loop earrings not only look sharp, they ARE sharp. I am not sure if they didn’t finish the points properly but I poked myself more times than I care to remember. If anything, it will teach a lesson to people who come up unexpectedly and grab them without permission. Ouch! But in all seriousness, they are quite attractive inexpensive earrings that really make an impact when you wear them. I like the matte coating, as shiny gold finishes can sometimes look cheap. They just need better finishing technique due to sharp edges. If I hadn’t poked myself on the numerous times, I would have gladly rated higher.I was actually excited to get these since I really liked the transparent hoops. Unfortunately, one of the earrings is clear and the other is aqua. It's pretty noticeable. I'll probably change out the gold base with silver so it matches the silver flecks inside (why not silver in the first place?) and then add a bead that's aqua to one side and clear to the other so it purposely looks like it's supposed to be asymmetrical. Had I gotten both clear or both aqua, I would have given them a four because the quality is fine, but seeing as I'll have to reconfigure them to my liking, a three it is.
