I am so happy I purchased this robe to help me following my mastectomy. The drainage tube fit well into the inside of the robe. The robe is very soft and it is nice looking. Plus, the robe can easily be used for regular wear under normal conditions also. The bra went well with the robe also. It is lovely.I bought this to wear after my double mastectomy. I get a lot of compliments on it, especially for the color which I chose because black want available for Prime delivery.Pros:Four internal pockets to hold your drain bags. These are great. End of story. I’ve worn other tips since and having to carry around the bags or pin them to you is annoying.Very comfortable and I don’t feel like I’m wearing a bathrobe because of the lovely details of the cut and the buttons. So soft and stretchy.Came with a bra in the same color. Fit me very well and has been good to help with compression.ConsIt’s expensive. I had points on my card, and I put them towards this to help. The material is great, but after only a few days, it got a hole in it. Not sure how. Possibly from the drains. The fabric is on the heavier side. Which is nice and all, but I found I couldn’t be comfortable in this unless it was mostly cool that day. This top plus hot flashes is rough. The bra is mostly great, however, the Velcro is awful. It’s super scratchy and the sharper side sticks to the lace and fabric of the bra. Mine got roughed up looking before I even got to try it on. Additionally, the bottom band sits right across my drain incisions and it’s been terribly painful. If the front buttoned it would be better so you can undo the last button. I’ve put a safety pin up it part way to leave it open and the relief was immediate. The open Velcro is quite scratchy, however. In all, I’m glad I got this. It could just use a few tweaks.I liked it and spent the extra money to have good quality only to have the front snap rip off the bra after 1 washing. In my opinion a good mastectomy bra and robe with a pocket would do as wellI used this and one other robe every single day for a month after my double mastectomy, even after getting my drains removed. Since I was sleeping propped up and it is winter (found it hard to keep a blanket around my shoulders), I found it more cozy to wear a robe all night and this was a perfect weight over my pjs. All the pockets were great for keeping things handy, including drains. This robe is not cheap so I would expect the details would reflect the high price tag. Here are 2 things that I was a bit disappointed in:#1 The velcro closure for the bra has the "hard side" facing you. All of my other mastectomy bras "got the memo" on this and all have the soft side of the velcro facing the skin so as not to scratch or irritate - except this one. This simple adjustment would make this a useful bra to add to my recovery wardrobe. Without it, it is practically useless.#2 The cinch at the waist only gathers in the front and there is no way to overlap and wrap around like a traditional robe so, being a thin person, this does not wrap tightly around me. For my next surgery I may try to find a way to hack this by cutting a small hole where I could thread the string through and wrap around my waist. Since it was winter I wore layers under it, if it was summer, I might have been more annoyed by this.Overall, I think this is a great mastectomy robe. I only bought this and not a bunch of other camisoles with pockets so I guess you choose where you spend your money. I will be using it again in future surgeries but would love to see these 2 downsides given an simple fix in a future remake. My Aunt sent me a link to this robe and I was hesitant because of the price but once I received it I was very impressed by the stretchable soft fabric. I got black so no blood spill would get on it. I had a mastectomy on my left breast and I couldn’t wait to get out of the hospital robe and put this on. I didn’t need the bra that it came with but I loved the pockets to hold the drains and I wore it for 5 days straight. It was the perfect temperature and easy to sleep in. I am 5’9 and 126 pounds and I ordered a medium I could have fit in a small as the medium had a lot of room. If I were to order again I would get a small. I highly suggest this robe to make you feel a little bit put together during a very hard time. Way to go designer! I would like to see mother of pearl buttons or non contrasting buttons as I am not a fan of the coconut/wood buttons. I am a designer in the fashion industry so I am pretty picky to say the least. It’s a great purchase and I would buy it again if needed. I will be wearing it again on mastectomy number 2. I wish more people would put more thought into garments like this as we all need to feel good when going through a hard time like this. Thank you and great job.The rob actually did what it was designed to do. I would purchase again. It is soft. Fit as expected. Looks great too. I’m 5’6 and 175 lbs and the XL fit perfectly.I had a recent overnight stay in hospital for a mastectomy and reconstruction and I didn’t know what clothing or dressing gown to take with me - I wasn’t keen to take my white long dressing gown so I was panicking about not having anything suitable. I found this dressing gown on Amazon and the reviews were favourable (other than on price!) so I ordered it.It came really quickly, it’s lovely and soft and stretchy, it’s a good practical length and best of all my drain bottle fits in the inner pockets (which I wasn’t sure until I was in hospital with the dressing gown). I didn’t use the bra it came with as I’d bought a different ‘front opening’ post operative bra from another specialist.I had to go home with the drain so it’s been really useful for continued use at home.If you can ignore/swallow the price it’s a good buy.Bought this for a friend.Although the fabric is really nice, the drain pockets were too small for the drains used in the uk, or at least in the hospital where she has surgery. That wasn't too much of an issue as she was given a bag to carry the drains but she still didn't use it much as the gown was too big. She didn't use the bra at all as too small.
